Rome – Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs

Have you ever considered Rome through its Basilica and Churches?

I think it is the city that owns more than any other one.

The History of this city has been determined by religion more than any other and I can tell you that nowadays it goes on.

The only merit is that at least they left Art and traces of History in any corner of this city.

It was not only about domination and power, it deeply influenced people thoughts, habits and, in a certain way, it brought beauty in everyone’s life!

It was built in the 16th century upon the design of Michelangelo Buonarroti but many other artists worked there and gave their genial contributions.

This median line is just a portion of a bigger project they have applied in the Basilica to measure time, an ancient calendar.

However this basilica was originally meant to celebrate all the Martyrs of the Christian world.

The known ones just like the unknown.

It is located at the very center of Rome, in Piazza della Repubblica (also known as Piazza Esedra).

Should you go to Rome I wish you will have the chance to visit this place.
